One of our crew members had to withdraw due to some difficulties he encountered whilst sailing from Durban to join us here in Cape Town.

We therefor have one available crew position (yachtmaster) for the Governor's Cup yacht Race 2014. The yacht race starts on 27 December 2014 from Simons Town, South Africa to Jamestown, St. Helena. Yacht Revelations is a luxury and well appointed 50’ Simonis designed cruising catamaran, registered with SAMSA and have all the required cross ocean specifications and requirements.

The Governor’s Cup race will be the first leg of Revelations’ world cruise. Having completed the race and spending a few days in St. Helena, we will depart for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The first leg from Simons Town to St. Helena will take between 10 and 14 days and the leg between St. Helena and Rio de Janeiro will take another 11 to 15 days. Race requirements demand that the yacht and all crew to be in Simons Town yacht club as from 16 December 2014.

This is a non paying position but all food, yacht conveniences and other consumables are provided free of charge. You must have a Yacht Master certification and is best suited to somebody who seeks additional sea miles or cross ocean experience. The ideal candidate should be between 25 and 55 years of age, in good health with a valid passport – male or female.. The successful candidate can either sail to St. Helena only or opt to continue sailing on with Revelations to Brazil.
