Locating the hurricane eye

Hopefully you will never find yourself in the path of a hurricane, cyclone or tropical storm. The best defense against this possibility is to plan properly taking hurricane/cyclone seasons in mind and avoid sailing long voyages through these areas. If you do find yourself in the path of a hurricane/cyclone, then you desperately want to know the eye of the storm location in relation to your own position. If you know the path of the hurricane, this might allow you to take evasive action and sail your yacht out of this danger - or at least minimize the violence.

We created this hurricane/cyclone graphic for ourselves which we at all times have on board Revelations. We also frequently re-look and study the graphic to refresh our memory in the event that we might have to take evasive action one day.
